A mindful lifestyle is in the very DNA of Zurich
Safety and tolerance are important fundamental values in Zurich – for locals as well as for visitors. Around 400,000 people of different nationalities, professions, ages, and lifestyles live peacefully together side by side. You do not have to look far to experience this diversity. Such as in Zurich’s iconic open-air bathing facilities or out and about on the local public transportation.

The City of Zurich and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
“Leave no one behind”, also the City of Zurich is committed to these globally set goals and is committed to implementing them locally. Social solidarity is one of the city’s strongest points in the “Strategies 2035”, which includes guidelines for economic growth, sustainability, and inclusion among others.

Incorporating Corporate Social Responsibility into your congress
Business ethics, which includes strong CSR initiatives, is becoming a far more sophisticated issue in our society today. Congress organisers are more and more in the duty to organise events that have a positive impact on nature, society and every single attendee. By choosing the right destination for the next congress, a lot of boxes on the CSR goals can already been ticked.

Zurich raises awareness for respectful experiences, sustainable, yet fun experiences
Zurich is not only one of the most sustainable cities but it holds the highest quality of life and has lots to offer in terms of long-lasting meeting experiences.

Social programmes during your convention are not only a great way to make your your social responsibility efforts visible, but also a chance to connect your attendees with the local community, give them the opportunity to learn more about the local culture, and leave a lasting, positive impression on both your guests and the destination.

Surprise City tours
They are the true experts of the streets of Zurich: the sellers of the street magazine Surprise (photo below). The people with no or limited access to the regular job market sell the magazine to earn their own money and participate socially and professionally. Some of them guide interested guests through "their" Zurich. They show the participants other corners of the city, unknown and often ignored places, and tell them about their lives on the streets. These emotional insights open up a completely different perspective on the rich banking city of Zurich.

Zürich Tourism Convention Bureau – Creating a legacy together
