Women leaders from around the world gathered in Reykjavík on 26–28 November for the first Women Leaders Global Forum. The WLGF will from now on be an annual event and is scheduled to take place in Reykjavík until 2021. According to the event organisers, Iceland was chosen for its leadership in gender equality. The WLGF is designed to be a place where women leaders discuss and share ideas and solutions on how to further advance society, increase equality between women and men and promote and positively develop the number of women in leadership positions.
