The BestCities Global Alliance is gathering industry thought-leaders, international associations and destination partners from around the globe under one digital roof for the anticipated return of their annual Global Forum – with a virtual twist.
The event will be based around ‘Transforming’ associations & destinations to future-proof models, ‘Engaging’ with your audience & community building, and measuring ‘Impact’ by exploring the latest exemplary legacy projects within the industry.
The alliance is collaborating with industry leaders including Renata Lerch from Integrated Niche, Future Strategist Michel Mol, and Madrid Convention Bureau on the three-day online programme.
Taking place on 17-19 November, this year’s Global Forum is aimed to inspire and motivate digital delegates as we head into the new year – as well as shine the spotlight on Madrid as the next upcoming (non-digital) Global Forum. More guest speakers are still to be announced.
BestCities Welcomes Dublin to the Global Alliance
The alliance, which brings together a host of exemplary meetings destinations across six continents to knowledge-share and create legacy with their international association clients, will see Dublin become the fourth European partner of the 12-strong network.
Despite the meetings industry facing challenges in the current climate, the announcement of Dublin’s new membership is testament to the strength of alliance and demonstrates the value of collaboration within the community.
Since the opening of the Dublin Convention Centre in 2010, the city has become a cultural and economic hub for the meetings industry – counting 109 association conferences in the last year alone. The Irish capital also boasts invaluable sustainability credentials; currently ranked 11th in the 2019 Global Destination Sustainability Index.
Supported by the Union of International Associations (UIA), the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO) and the Interel Group, the global public affairs and association management consultancy, Headquarters Magazines serve the needs of international associations organising worldwide congresses.
