The world's largest event for tourism bloggers took place for the first time at ICC Jerusalem

Over 400 leading bloggers from dozens of countries around the world attended TBEX's annual conference to survey, experience and tell the story of Jerusalem beyond its stereotype.

"Jerusalem was chosen as primarily international destination for the conference, because of its rich history and multiculturalism,"organizers said.

The annual international conference of bloggers and journalists in the field of tourism, TBEX, was held for the first time in Israel. In the International Convention Center Jerusalem, over 400 bloggers from dozens of countries around the world came to review, experience, tweet and tell the story of Jerusalem. This is the first time that TBEX event has reached the Middle East and it was initiated by the Jerusalem Development Authority with support of the Jerusalem Municipality, the Ministry of Tourism and the Jerusalem Ministry of Heritage.

TBEX is the world's largest tourism event for bloggers, industry and content professionals, journalists and it has reached hundreds of millions of people around the world. “This is a popular and preferred destination for many people around the world and we are confident that the conference participants will find unique stories and experiences in Jerusalem."

The conference included three intensive days of workshops and lectures at ICC Jerusalem. Participants also joined a variety of activities throughout Jerusalem which aimed to serve as quality content for independent writing. Activities such as: tutorage on historical sites, hummus workshops, visits to multicultural community centers and tours following art and culture in the city.

TBEX is an international organization that brings together under its roof bloggers around the world from the tourism industry. Each year, three international conferences are being held: in the United States, in Europe and at random destination. This year Jerusalem was chosen as the first destination for 2017.
