The Convention Centre Dublin – An iconic, inspirational setting
Since The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) opened in September 2010 as Ireland’s only purpose-built international conference venue, it has built a solid reputation for exceptional events, and played a significant role in Dublin’s rise of 19 places to 13th position in the worldwide ICCA rankings, making it one of the world’s top cities for hosting association events.

An impressive track record
The CCD is perfectly designed to enable networking and movement of delegates throughout the inspirational space - accommodating conferences of up to 5,500 delegates. Over the past four and a half years, the venue has hosted over 1,000 events, won 27 industry awards and welcomed high calibre association conferences including the International Bar Association Conference (5,200 delegates), Euroscience Open Forum (4,500 delegates), the 53rd Annual European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology Meeting (3,000 delegates) and eHealth Week (2,500 delegates).

A host of support
The comprehensive package of on-site facilities and expertise which are included in the rental price at The CCD has proven very popular with association clients. The fact that all necessary expertise, technical equipment, furniture and hospitality is on-site, eliminates the need to hire in and manage the logistics of third-party suppliers.

The CCD recently established a risk-share model for conferences that rely solely on registration fees to cover costs, and its dedicated Association Account Managers work closely with clients to create conference packages that suit individual event needs and offer assistance with bid documents, accommodation requirements and financial support schemes.

In addition, The CCD regularly hosts Familiarisation (FAM) Trips to showcase what the venue, and Dublin as a destination have to offer. These FAM trips can be availed of by any potential clients looking to bring an event to The CCD.

An internationally accessible location

Dublin Airport, a mere 15-20 minute journey from The CCD, serves direct flights to the UK, Europe, the US and beyond, making it highly accessible for delegates across the globe. The city boasts over 19,000 competitively priced accommodation options, all within a 10km radius of The CCD, while The CCD’s central location gives conference visitors the option of getting out and soaking up the culture and hospitality of one of Europe’s most popular capital cities during their stay.

A bright future
The CCD has confirmed a host of high-profile international conferencesup until 2018 including:
· 17th European Congress of Endocrinology 2015
· European Society of Coloproctology Annual Meeting 2015
· 68th ESOMAR Congress 2015
