Sydney is not only redefining global best practice in the management of its business events strategy, but also its offering as a destination is undergoing monumental change.

This six-part video series viewers join capital Business Events Sydney’s (BESydney) International Advisory Board (IAB) as they experience the newest experiences that Sydney has to offer, including: the new International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), strong government and industry collaboration, and rich cultural and entertainment offerings.

In the second of six films from the New South Wales (NSW) capital Business Events Sydney’s (BESydney) International Advisory Board (IAB) discusses what makes the perfect conference city, and determines how Sydney in particular measures up to these exacting standards.

We talk ease of access and accommodation, opportunities of opening up new markets, government collaboration, and thought-leaders. There are many boxes a meetings destination has to tick to make itself attractive to the industry.

The third episode showcases Sydney’s offering as one of the world’s premier meeting destinations: we visit Barangaroo, home to a major new extension of the city’s central business district; hear about the fantastic upcoming transport infrastructure - the new Light Rail and Metro projects - also about to reshape the experience of living and working in Sydney; and see more of the changing face of our city.
