Construction is almost complete at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), which is scheduled to open in December 2016. Built to attract and foster the brightest minds while engaging the city itself, ICC Sydney is a world class venue that sits at the cusp of cutting edge technology.

According to Geoff Donaghy, CEO of ICC Sydney, the convention centre will set a new benchmark worldwide and represents a paradigm shift in how events are delivered.

“ICC Sydney has been built from the ground up in a way that is intrinsically future-proof and seamlessly connected, both to neighbouring suburbs and through a unique technological foundation. The design caters to the changing architecture of meetings and events, and is supported by world leading technical and production facilities that are scalable, flexible, and upgradable. This means we can constantly evolve and innovate, supporting our clients with bespoke solutions for years to come.

ICC Sydney is built on a 10GB optical fibre backbone which can support any digital environment. The convention centre also features an array of interactive, high definition digital signage solutions including an external 180sqm digital screen, large scale projection opportunities, first rate audio equipment and offers high bandwidth, high density and robust wireless connectivity.

When the ICC Sydney opens this December, it will also cater for sit-down dinners of up to 2,000 delegates and cocktail events for 3,500. Together with the director of culinary services, Lynell Peck, and leading nutritionist Dr Joanna McMillan, executive chef Tony Panetta has devised the Feed Your Performance menu – a menu that comprises of fresh, seasonal and ethically sourced ingredients to drive physical and mental performance.

“As a society we’re now more concerned with eating well,” says Tony. “We want to feed the body and the mind.
