On November 19-21, 2019 the Fira Gran Via Exhibition Complex in Barcelona (Spain) will hold the 23rd world exhibition in the meetings industry – IBTM World-2019, which is attended annually by more than 15 000 professionals of the industry, representing around 3000 destinations from 141 countries of the world.
For the third time, Russia presents a national exhibit RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD, organized by the Russian Convention Bureau with informational support of the Roscongress Foundation.
“Participants representing various regions of Russia use the common communication space at IBTM World to demonstrate the rich potential of the currently available regional infrastructure and high qualification of companies from across the country. Together, they present Russia as a hospitable state ready for cooperation,” Anton Kobyakov, advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, said. “The state actively supports the development of the event industry. This year Russia introduced electronic visas. By 2021 this service will be provided in every region of the country, which will help make coming to Russia easier for participants of business events.”
“In just two years Russia became a full-fledged participant of the business event market. At IBTM World 2019 we will work together with Russian professionals of the event industry to introduce the growing potential of our country and strengthen cooperation with our foreign colleagues,” says Alexey Kalachev, Director of the Russian Convention Bureau.
Regions and regional cases are the main focus of the RUSSIA OPEN TO THE WORLD exhibit. The national exhibit will bring together professional companies from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Leningrad Region, Sverdlovsk Region and Kamchatka. Regional headliners this year are Kamchatsky Krai and Svedlovsk Region.
The Russian exhibit will include 17 participating companies: the Roscongress Foundation, which acts as the general partner of the exposition; participants from Ekaterinburg - Ekaterinburg-Expo International Exhibition Center, Hotel Angelo by Vienna House Ekaterinburg, USTA Group; a number of companies from Kamchatka: Kamchatka Travel Bureau, Poteryannyi Mir (“Lost World”) and Sneg (“Snow”) companies, Krai Vulkanov (“Land of Volcanoes”) travel company, Kamchatka Travel Group, Kamchatka Yurt; Kaliningrad Baltma Tours and Crystal House Suites & Spa; Investment Promotion Agency of Leningrad Region and State Budgetary Institution of Leningrad Region “Tourist Information Center,” Favorit DMC & PCO, SK-INFORMIKA, and Event Management Group IT.
The participants will show their readiness to welcome partners and guests to any region of the country and present a series of discussion panels and presentations.
The program of the national exhibit will include business meetings with international partners and IBTM participants, presentations of event potential of Russian regions, tasting sessions of traditional Russian delicacies and treats, and sessions dedicated to different Russian customs.
