One of the Brisbane Showgrounds’ longest-running events will return to the venue today under an approved Queensland Health COVID Safe Plan.

Caravanning Queensland has called the Showgrounds home for more than four decades, holding two highly anticipated events each year.

Their mid-year sale was cancelled due to COVID-19, but their pre-Christmas Let’s Go Brisbane Caravan and Outdoor Sale is taking place until Sunday (October 29 – November 1).

The event will feature more than 100 exhibitors with the latest motorhomes, caravans and must-have accessories, along with towing masterclasses and a hands-on reversing challenge.

Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said the RNA worked closely with Caravanning Queensland and Queensland Health to make sure the event could proceed.

“This exhibition takes on a retail format which has never been more important for our economy – it will be the largest caravan sale event in Queensland this year,” he said.

“We’re proud Caravanning Queensland has chosen to use our venue for an incredible 42 years and are thrilled to see them back home at the Brisbane Showgrounds.”

Gates open from 9.30am to 5pm daily, with tickets available online only.

The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct is located 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD and is Queensland’s largest indoor/outdoor events site.
