Today marks 60 days until the opening of Belfast Waterfront’s new conference centre.

To mark this milestone, the Belfast Waterfront team (Stand F58) are showcasing the venue’s new spaces and facilities to the 6,700 qualified buyers attending International Confex (2 -3 March 2016).

With over 30 international and national events already under their belts, and big names such as BBC Good Food Show, the World Council of Credit Unions and the Royal College of Nursing signed up for its five star experience -  Belfast Waterfront will undoubtedly be the talk of the show.

After an investment of £29.5m funded by Belfast City Council, the European Regional Development Fund, through the EU Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, a striking 7,000m2 purpose built venue now stands majestically in the heart of one UK’s most dynamic business destinations.

If you haven’t considered Belfast before, then now is the perfect time.

An injection of over a billion pounds has transformed the city into a vibrant and inspirational meeting place that will appeal to and captivate a wide range of delegates. For event planners, the opening of the new Belfast Waterfront in May this year together with having the entire city at their service - all 333,000 passionate service providers – makes Belfast the perfect destination to host an event.

The new Belfast Waterfront will house over 30 awe-inspiring spaces which will accommodate up to 5,000 delegates at any one time.

The addition of two multipurpose halls, together measuring over 2,500m2, 3 extra meeting rooms, and a stunning 660m2 riverside foyer have already proved invaluable to their success. Indeed doubling its event space to 7,000m2 has already attracted new events as well as facilitated the return of many, specifically, from associations which had previously outgrown the existing facilities.

Lucy Davies, Association Manager, Association of Breast Surgery at The Royal College of Surgeons comments: “The Association of Breast Surgery is looking forward to holding its Conference & AGM in the new Waterfront facilities in 2017. The ABS Conference & AGM is held around the UK and the expanded facilities will enable the Association to use Belfast for the first time.”
