Montreux Riviera, ideally situated between Lake Geneva and the Alps and centrally located close to Geneva International Airport, is the absolute top destination for meetings and events. With its enviable microclimate, sun-filled terraced Lavaux UNESCO vineyards, as well as the timeless charm of the Belle Époque architecture, the natural atmosphere and beauty of the surroundings offer a setting one will never forget.

Montreux Riviera has been attracting visitors for over 200 years. It is not surprising that some famous personalities, including Freddie Mercury and Igor Stravinski, developed close and lasting relationships with the area. Charlie Chaplin used to live in Corsier-sur-Vevey andis back in his magnificent family home. The legendary Manoir de Ban has been renovated and turned into a museum dedicated to his life and work, opening on 17 April 2016. The much awaited Chaplin’s World by Grévin also provides exclusive spaces for unforgettable events. Additionally, the Modern Times Hotel has opened its doors on February 2016, and is located close to the museum. This new four-star hotel not only welcomes guests of the new attraction, but also hosts seminars and meetings.

As for activities, strongly supported by a variety of local events which complete a top-class range of cultural attractions, the Christmas Market, Montreux Comedy Festival, Septembre Musical and Montreux Jazz Festival are the most well-known top events.

Since 50 years the Montreux Jazz Festival has become a singular rendezvous in the world of music. Founded in 1967 by the charismatic Claude Nobs, the Festival rapidly earned a reputation for fantastic concerts, unbelievable artistic collaborations, improbable anecdotes and audacity. The Festival has mixed all musical genres and discovered and nurtured talented young artists, carving out a permanent mark on the world map and in the hearts of the public. Yet again, this year's 50th edition will undoubtedly be one to remember.

The Montreux Jazz Festival is hosted every July in one of Montreux’s leading venues: the Montreux Music and Convention Centre – 2m2c, notably in Auditorium Stravinski which is famous for its acoustics. Nestled on the shore of Lake Geneva, the 2m2c expertly accommodates meetings and conferences in the 18,000 square metres of event space.

Safety is also very important in Montreux Riviera. Seamless collaboration between the city and the police force made it possible to host the 13th Francophonie Summit, as weel as the Geneva II Conference on Syria.

Montreux Riviera also offers a wide range of hotels, with more than 2,500 rooms in various categories, including the Belle Époque Fairmont le Montreux Palace, opened in 1906. The main hotels are located centrally, within a short walk of the congress centre. In addition to this, free travel is offered on the whole Montreux Riviera public transport network for people staying at a hotel in the area.

Incredible events and venues, sunshine, scenery, and something for all: Montreux Riviera – pure inspiration.
