Meetings Industry, Let’s Cast Our Vote!

Given the state of global politics in the past few years, the importance (and consequences) of voting (or not voting) should be clear as water by now. As the date draws closer for the ICCA elections to take place at the General Assembly of ICCA in Dubai (on 11 November 2018), members are encouraged to vote electronically even if they are not gracing the significant event.

Who can vote for what?

  • All members can cast their vote for the Presidential election.
  • Only Destination Marketing members can cast their vote for the Co-Chair of this Sector.
  • Only Venue members can cast their vote for the Co-Chairs of this Sector.
  • Only African members can cast their vote for the Geographical Representative for Africa.

Online voting on all our association matters for the ICCA General Assembly is NOW LIVE (exact closing time to be announced by the President during the General Assembly). A personalised voting link has been sent to the official ICCA contact person in our records for all members organisations to vote for: 

  • Approval Minutes of the 56th General Assembly held in Prague, Czech Republic, 2017
  • Annual Report 2017
  • Proposed Entrance Fees 2019
  • Proposed Membership Fee 2019
  • Proposed Budget 2019

Only the official ICCA contact person has the right to vote on behalf of their member organisation. If they are not attending the General Assembly in Dubai, they cannot pass on their vote to a colleague present.

  • Presidential Election - the official ICCA contact person in our records received a personalised voting link to vote for their preferred ICCA Presidential candidate
  • Sector Destination Marketing - the official ICCA contact person in our records for the members in this sector received a personalised voting link to vote for the Co-Chair of the Sector
  • Sector Venues - the official ICCA contact person in our records for the members in this sector received a personalised voting link to vote for the Co-Chairs of the Sector
  • Geographical Representative for Africa – the official ICCA contact person in our records for the members in this region received a personalised voting link to vote for their Board representative
