Meet MEET TAIWAN at IMEX America 2018
IMEX America 2018 — America's Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings & Events, is taking place from 16th to 18th October in Las Vegas, America. Aimed at drawing buyer attention, this year MEET TAIWAN - Taiwan’s MICE Promotion Program will attend IMEX America 2018 Trade Show (Booth No. B4627).
MEET TAIWAN, Taiwan’s MICE Promotion Program, is transforming Taiwan into a proficient and vibrant MICE service and facility provider. The long-term objective is to enhance the quality and efficiency of services, strengthen Taiwan’s brand and sharpen its global competitive edge, and make Taiwan a top destination for MICE business.
Bigger cities in Taiwan like Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung are fully equipped with facilities for exhibitions and convention centers, and can offer seamless planning assistance for innovative and dynamic international conferences. Both meeting hardware and software are ready for international events. Moreover, for the northern part of the island, Taipei Nangang Exhibition center Hall 2 will be opening in March 2019, with 14 confernece rooms and total exhibition area up to 30,240 sqm. The Shuinan International and Exhibition Centre in Taichung and Tainan Exhibition Center are expected to start operations in 2021 for multi-purpose venue ideal for exhibitions, conventions, and a variety of events. The south features the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, with a capacity of up to 4,000 attendees at one time.
The MEET TAIWAN team offers site inspection assistance to international organization representatives and provides subsidies for international conferences that are held in Taiwan; assistance for Taiwan organizations may be up to NT$500,000 (US$16,265) for the bidding and promotion stage and up to NT$2,800,000 (US$91,083) for holding the event.
For incentive groups of at least 20 participants staying for a minimum of two consecutive nights in Taiwan, rewards are scaled according to event size and type, plus include pre-event site inspection packages and guest welcome kits.
