On November 8, 2016, European Cities Marketing will organise one of its renowned “Meet Europe Workshop” in Brussels.
Meet Europe is the annual event where top quality buyers come face to face with ECM member destinations. It is quicklybecoming the “place to be” for all those seriously interested in discovering new destinations where to organise meetings and events.
“Meet Europe is the unmissable appointment of pre-selected top quality buyers and ECM Convention Bureaux members, with the aim to provide opportunities to enhance and facilitate business exchanges between ECM members and associations and corporate buyers.”explained Bettina Bunge, ECM Vice-President for the Meetings Industry and Managing Director of the Dresden Marketing Board.
Exhibitors from ECM can highlight their USPs as conference destinations, and show the best of their cities and meetings facilities to the buyers from Belgian associations, companies and agencies that ask for support for their events and conferences. Those about 25 destinations’ representatives enjoy the casual atmosphere of the event which allows a facilitated contact with associations’ buyers and which always leads to a successful partnership and maximised business for both parties.
The event will take place in Le Claridge in Brussels in the middle of the European District. This venue has been part of the events and celebrations which have been part of Brussels history for over more than a century.
Their recent mutation towards a modern room reconnects with the actual demands of exclusivity and technological perfection.
“One of the main reasons why we attend this workshop is the professional organisation behind it. Always making sure that we get what we are looking for. Besides, the format of Meet Europe allows us to connect with interesting buyers to increase the business in our city. And last but not least, it helps us to reinforce our commercial action plan by bringing buyers from our main markets.”explained Désirée Stenderup, International Corporate Meetings and Events Executive at Turismo Valencia.
Brussels has already hosted 4 successful editions of ECM Meet Europe in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013. After 2 years in Paris, European Cities Marketing has decided to take the event back to the Belgian capital in order to target associations’ clients only.
