To continue its mission to attract more business events opportunities to come to Malaysia, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), is currently taking part in the IMEX Frankfurt. This is MyCEB’s ninth consecutive year of participation at the renowned tradeshow, taking place from 21 – 23 May 2019 at the Messe Frankfurt.

Datuk Isham Ishak, Secretary General of MOTAC is attending this year’s tradeshow partaking in the Policy Forum which brings together influential industry leaders to engage national and local governments in the advancement of our industry with the strategy to create a positive legacy.

In addition, he will be at the Malaysia Pavilion (B200) to officiate the launch of the enhanced Malaysia Like Never Before campaign and Malaysia Twin Deal V (MTD V) promotion which is a global promotional campaign to promote Malaysia as an incentive destination offering exciting experiences, value ads and rewards.

“I firmly believe that IMEX in Frankfurt has always been and will continue to be a strategic forum for us as it is one of the avenues that opens up to the European and international market. We are delighted to be part of this occasion once again and look forward to meeting the world's biggest players in the business events industry while taking advantage of this forum to attract more buyers to Malaysia,” said Datuk Zulkefli Hj. Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB.

Datuk Zulkefli will also be engaging with the media to share new products and developments available in Malaysia that will enhance the country's offerings to the business events industry as well as entice event planners and organisers to hold their meetings, corporate and incentives groups, exhibitions and conferences.

"While 2018 has been a successful year for Malaysia in bringing in large-scale events and huge business tourist arrivals, 2019 is the year of expansions, showing that Malaysia is getting a stronger hold of the events industry," added Datuk Zulkefli.

The MTD V programme that aims to provide more interesting options and ideas for planners, will support the highly popular Malaysia Like Never Before (MNLB) campaign which highlights the unique and five key Malaysian destinations: Kuala Lumpur, George Town, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, for event planners and is specially customised to the corporate meeting and incentives market. The MTD V is applicable for booking period from 1 April 2019 – 30 November 2020 and before the arrival period of 31st December 2020.
