La Cité des Congrès reinforces Nantes' position among the leading congress destinations in France and Europe
La Cité des Congrès, Nantes Congress Centre, brought together the directors of the city’s biggest research structures and awarded the researchers who organised the biggest events in Nantes in 2015.
Last January, La Cité organised the 4th Nantes Ambassadors Evening and Destination Congress during which 24 trophies were awarded to the organisers of major events held in 2015.
The aim of the evening was to publicly recognise the outstanding efforts of local congress ambassadors as well as to highlight their contribution to the scientific know-how and the economic development of the territory.
Back in 2006, La Cité partnered with the main local research structures and higher education centres for the organisation of conventions and events, which have been brought to the city by local scientifics.
2015 was a record year for the meetings industry in Nantes thanks to its Ambassadors, with 180 events and 215,000 delegates. These results have reinforced the city’s position among the leading congress destinations in France and Europe.
