Since the beginning of April 2017, the Japan Convention Bureau has created its fifth MICE position in Paris. The Japan Convention Bureau is a section of the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), under the supervision of the Executive Director in Tokyo, Ms. Etsuko Kawasaki. The MICE promotion executive and representative of the JNTO in France, Mr. Aurélien Bandini, will be the main point of contact for event organisers located in France, Monaco, Belgium and Luxembourg. From September 2017, several promotional actions have been implemented to highlight the MICE many attractions of the destination. These activities include training sessions, events and famtrips to allow event organisers to appreciate and discover all the possibilities that Japan offers for congresses, seminars and incentives.

Japan is a country that is innovative and ahead of its time, with strong and diverse clusters of competitiveness, whether it be at the level of industry, convention centers, hotel or airport infrastructures with daily flights connecting Belgium and France to the international airports of Tokyo and Osaka. On the spot, it is possible to travel throughout the country, by plane thanks to the many domestic flights available, or via the high- speed train (Shinkansen) crossing the entire archipelago.

Japan is the destination where knowledge and talents blend with the unique culture and traditions that make up this remarkable archipelago. With 21 sites classified as UNESCO World Heritage (17 cultural and 4 natural sites), as well as its 6,800 islands, an array of activities are offered to groups. The archipelago fits for your ideas and bring your imagination to life particularly thanks to its natural landscapes and its exclusive places variety.

The MICE signature of the JNTO « News ideas start here » suggests that visitors coming to Japan discover the various cultural wealth of the archipelago and are gradually steeped in the local culture and the innovative character of the country which stimulates their ideas and imaginations. All these elements will allow the employees of a company to intellectually enhance themselves and plan for the future in an efficient and methodical way, to perfect the achievements of their wishes.

The Land of the Rising Sun is always looking for innovation. He also advocates this eternal renewal with a touch of spirituality that allows him to have a head start. It is essential to be tempted by a traditional culinary tasting, to visit the onsen, to try Zen meditation, the range of possibilities suits perfectly to team-buildings. All these factors make Japan a perfect match for MICE events and for groups wanting a total change of scenery, in a safe country, with projects of qualities that correspond to the current market, where "traditions meet the future".
