In the midst of the transition from traditional agriculture to increasingly high-tech farming systems, Infoagro Exhibition, the international trade fair for intensive production and auxiliary industry, wanted to highlight those exhibitors who have opted for digital technologies that facilitate work in the field.

It has therefore created the VíaSmart label, with which numerous companies exhibiting at the show will be able to highlight their products and services with agricultural applications based on digital technologies. The fair will take place from 10 to 12 May 2023 at the Palacio de Congresos in Aguadulce, Almería.

VíaSmart, which will be a new feature at the fourth edition of the fair, will visually highlight, just as the VíaEco label for companies with products for organic farming already does, those companies that have digital technology solutions, both by placing the label on the exhibitor company's stand: in the catalogue of companies belonging to the SmartAgro sector; on the map of the exhibition area in the exhibitors' guide, and on the badges of the professionals who belong to these companies. In addition, ViaSmart companies will be able to disseminate the knowledge provided by their solutions to professional visitors to the show through technology-themed conferences.

In this way, companies that include in their catalogue products and services based on smart intelligent solutions; neural networks; data mining; artificial vision; artificial intelligence; deep learning; robotisation; equipment that includes data processing; or software applied to agriculture, among other digital technologies, will be eligible to receive ViaSmart recognition.

Thus, under the VíaSmart umbrella, there will be a place for companies that produce drones for agriculture; that include IoT for agricultural activity; that have management software for agriculture and/or for the management of machinery, vehicles or fleets; with agricultural robots; or that market intelligent sensors or electronic systems for diagnosis or automatic guidance; intelligent irrigation systems; electronic systems for precision agriculture; GPS and satellite positioning systems; Isobus systems for communication between tractors, software and equipment; GIS software and services; cloud solutions for agriculture and other telematic systems. Start-ups and new innovative companies based on this type of technology will also be included under this label.

In order to obtain this distinction, exhibiting companies that have this type of products and services in their catalogue must apply to the organisers, providing information on the digital solutions in their portfolio.
