The inaugural ICCA Indonesia Forum 2020 was organized by the ICCA Indonesia Committee in collaboration with ICCA.

The morning started with a Welcoming Address by Raty Ning, Chair of the ICCA Indonesia Committee who spoke about collaboration and opportunities. “The hosting of the ICCA Indonesia Forum shows the power of collaboration among the MICE industry community in Indonesia. This is a great example of our community coming together to strengthen our country’s potentiality as the region’s top destination for Business Events. Through this industry-initiated forum, we aim to support the growth of the MICE industry in Indonesia, develop membership and networking opportunities, as well as foster international cross-learning and sharing of best practices.  We are set to continue raising the standards of MICE industry in Indonesia together with the stakeholders here. Together, we can collaborate and seek new opportunities to drive Indonesia towards becoming a leading Business Events Destination.”

“In shaping the future of our MICE industry and creating value for the international association meetings, it is important to engage the association community. As the industry evolves rapidly over the years, we want to explore new business opportunities while focusing on making our industry sustainable,” Raty said.

Indonesia has various locations that are equipped with the facilities and professional services to cater to international association meetings. However, this has yet to be fully tapped into. To attract more events, we need a good strategy and strong government support to ensure all segments in Indonesia marched to succeed in the same direction based on undivided strategies.”
