Their mission? Establishing efficient collaborations and enabling positive changes in the egg sector.

The Belfry’s City Halls are the main venue for this yearly conference. The participants will be accommodated in the Swan Collection hotels, the Grand Hotel Casselbergh being the headquarter hotel.

During the conference, the best possible use will be made of the time available. There will be lectures, workshops, networking and leisure opportunities including a welcoming reception at the Provincial Court, a chocolate workshop and a formal dinner at the Halls of the Belfry. The purpose of the conference is to bring together different leaders in the egg producing industry.

It was the IEC’s local member Ovobel who brought this congress to Bruges, in collaboration with the Bruges Convention Bureau. Cassy Price, Secretary General of the International Egg Commission says “We are thrilled to be holding the IEC Global Leadership Conference in Bruges; with the backdrop of such an inspiring location. With the support of Meeting in Brugge, and True Bruges we have been able to create a very attractive programme for our conference, which includes a wide range of social functions. We’re sure that our delegates will be charmed by this beautiful city”.

The international Egg Commission was established in 1964, and hold its annual Global Leadership Conference in beautiful cities all around the world. This will be the second time the IEC holds its Conference in Belgium, the previous being in 1988 in Antwerp.

Meeting in Brugge is the official Convention Bureau of the city of Bruges. Within 24 hrs, the bureau offers free professional advice for meeting planners and conference organizers. If you’re planning an incentive, a seminar or a conference, they will put you in touch with the right contacts in Bruges, and put together a complete offer with the possibilities, all free of charge.
