On 9 January, the Spanish Ministry of Mobility and IFEMA MADRID will present Global Mobility Call, the first world-class sustainable mobility event, on the occasion of the Travel and Connectivity Days at Expo Dubai. A dialogue about "The need to speed up the transformation towards Sustainable Mobility: Dubai and Global Mobility Call as successful case studies", will bring together companies and institutions from Spain and the United Arab Emirates

After the international presentations at COP26 in Glasgow in November, and in Paris in December, Global Mobility Call, the first world-class sustainable mobility event, that will take place in Madrid on 14-16 June 2022, is coming to the United Arab Emirates, to engage with leading companies involved in the development of safe, inclusive, connected and sustainable mobility in the region.

The Spanish Ministry of Mobility, Transport and Urban Agenda and IFEMA MADRID one of Europe’s leading congress operators, will present Global Mobility Call in Expo Dubai, UAE, one of the world’s top countries developing intelligent solutions for sustainable mobility infrastructure. The presentation will take place on 9 January in the context of the Travel and Connectivity Days at the Spain Pavilion.

Global Mobility Call is aimed at becoming the world's most important event for sustainable mobility in the context of the economic and social recovery following the pandemic. Organized by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub on 14-16 June 2022, Global Mobility Call will bring together leaders across all sectors involved in the development of sustainable mobility policies and business initiatives.

The event will be introduced by Iñigo de Palacio, Spanish Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates; Raquel Sanchez Jimenez, Spanish Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda;  and Eduardo Lopez-Puertas, CEO of IFEMA MADRID, who will introduce one of the most ambitious sustainable mobility events in Europe to help the world overcome the triple health, social and climate crises. From Spain, Global Mobility Call aims to help set the international agenda on sustainable mobility, at a critical moment leveraging such recovery and investment opportunities as those under the NextGenerationEU funds, that will support large mobility projects.

The presentation will be followed by a discussion on ‘The Need to Accelerate the Transformation Towards Sustainable Mobility: Dubai and Global Mobility Call as successful case studies’ with panelists representing companies and institutions from Spain and the UAE. The panel will include Santiago Bañales Lopez, Director of Iberdrola Innovation Middle East; Alex Moya, General Manager INDRA UAE and Mike Bhaskaran, Chief Operating Officer of Logistics and Technology from DP World.

Maria Jose Rallo, Secretary General for Transport and Mobility of the Government of Spain will close the event.
