Global DMC Partners announces 3rd Annual Connection in Dominican Republic

Global DMC Partners, the meeting professional’s one worldwide solution for global event success, announces today that 200 attendees will attend the 2016 Global DMC Partners Connection at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from June 23-26. The two-and-a-half-day annual event will include innovative business sessions, one-on-one appointments, industry specific breakout sessions, an interactive customer panel, site visits, and attendee-elected tours around Punta Cana.  

Gregory DracoTop meeting professionals and DMC industry leaders from around the world will have the opportunity to learn about key industry trends, including emergency preparedness and the direction of the global economy, discuss best practices, meet one-on-one with DMCs, and network with their peers.

A Customer and DMC Panel on Emergency Preparedness, one of the industry’s timeliest topics, will be hosted by Global DMC Partners President, Catherine Chaulet. The Panel, consisting mainly of DMC and Customer Advisory Board members, will take a deep dive into what planners, DMCs and hotels are finding to be the most pressing concerns when it comes to emergency preparedness. They will also review how to create effective risk management and crisis management plans for both large and small scale emergencies, a hands-on assessment of real life situations from cyber security to climatic threats, and additional security options that are available around the world.

Mitch JoelThe 2016 Global DMC Partners Connection will include a talk on digital transformation and the global culture of disruption and change from Motivational Speaker & Digital Marketing Expert, Mitch Joel.

The event will end with Gregory Daco, Chief US Economist at Oxford Economics, who will lead a session on the global economy and how to best understand the travel and tourism sector to achieve rewarding business opportunities.
