FIEXPO LATINOAMERICA 2018, June 4-6, 2018

4th May, 2018

With no pause FIEXPO advances to contemplate the interests of all participants in its eleventh edition.

FIEXPO Latinoamérica, the annual meeting of professionals who set trends in the industry of congresses, fairs, conventions and business trips, adjusts the intense agenda of activities that will take place from June 4 to June 6 in Santiago de Chile.

Representatives of the main convention bureaus, international hotel chains, convention centres, airlines, technology companies, fairgrounds, tourism secretaries, event organizers, incentive agencies, DMC (destination management company) and suppliers of products and services of more than 20 countries will show their new commercial offers.

Training and information seminars and workshops will take place prior to the fair and will offer the opportunity to learn first-hand about the sector's novelties in order to exploit all the possibilities in the continental market and to know the range of actions already implemented. Turn into success stories.

Within the agenda, the 5th Latin American Political Forum on Meeting Tourism will have Agustí Colom, Barcelona's Tourism Board, Christoff Temar, executive director of the Barcelona Convention Bureau, and Rod Cameron, Executive Director of the Joint Meeting Industry Council (JMIC), among other prominent speakers.

For the second time the Forum for Association Executives will be held with round tables with professionals who will address the key issues of the industry:  membership model, development of memberships vs. products, how to serve members outside of your country? And KPIs that all associations need to measure.

Future generations will also be present at the event through the "Next Generation Summit: You are the future and that future begins today!" Because meeting tourism in Latin America needs young professionals, prepared and with strategic vision. The summit will consist of several sessions and a final workshop. Some of the topics on the agenda will be: It's a small world:

  • Who is who in this sector and how are the 3 major segments different?
  • What are the relevant destinations in the international market and what can we learn from them?
  • Country brand vs. city brand: what will weigh more in the future?
  • What do future clients and assistants look for in a venue for events?

Additionally, there will be activities promoted by ICCA (International Association of Congresses and Conventions) as the Advanced Data Workshop "The art of event creation".
