IFEMA MADRID will host the congress of the European Society for Medical Oncology from 20 to 24 October 2023. This will be the third time the event will take place in the capital of Spain.

Once again, the Congress of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) is returning to Madrid, in 2023. The ESMO Congress is the most influential professional event for medical oncologists, researchers, patient advocates, journalists and representatives of the health care industry, who will travel from around the world to IFEMA MADRID. Innovations in cancer treatment, new technologies and therapies for oncological disorders will be presented, in a context where international experts in medical oncology will be able to exchange ideas. The congress will include a high-quality educational programme and will offer valuable networking opportunities for oncologists and other stakeholders from all over the world.

The 2023 event will be third congress that ESMO has held in Madrid. The first meeting in 2014 had more than 19,800 attendees. In 2017, the congress returned to the Spanish capital and the attendance figure increased to 23,700. This is a clear evidence of the popularity of this benchmark event for oncology specialists, who look at this congress to learn and to network with their fellow professionals.

ESMO is committed to making the latest scientific data and the highest quality education available to all professional oncologists wherever they may be. The ESMO Congress will be a face-to-face experience and will also offer a convenient interactive virtual format for those who choose to participate remotely.
