Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) has appointed Amanda Wrathall as sales and marketing head. Wrathall is the first senior team appointment for new chief executive, Marshall Dallas.

Announcing the appointment Marshall Dallas said: “Amanda’s fifteen years experience in business tourism is a perfect fit for the lead sales and marketing role at EICC. She will spearhead our new approach in the corporate meetings and events market and further enhance our international association conference market presence”.

Amanda Wrathall takes up her new role in early March and will lead the EICC team at Scotland Week in New York in April and at IMEX, Frankfurt in May. EICC is also gearing up to host the M&I Forum in June (29 June - 3 July 2015) that is expected to attract 500 event buyers from the UK and across Europe.

Amanda joins EICC from the group sales and marketing role at a leading Spa chain and was for five years sales and marketing manager at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange conference and events venue. Her earlier career was in hotel conference and event sales management with Marriott, Holiday Inn, Best Western and Macdonald Hotels.

She is a previous recipient of a Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scholarship, a founding board member of the Scottish Events and Festivals Association (SEFA) and a committee member of the Edinburgh Business Women’s Club (EBC).
