AA&P Events & PR Manager Natalie Bell said that AA&P was also recognised as the NT Winner and the national Winner, in the MEA Awards ‘Association or Government Meeting of the Year’ category, for the very successful 2016 Northern Australia Food Futures Conference, hosted by NT Farmers Association in Darwin in April 2016.

We were absolutely thrilled, delighted and humbled to have won our category, especially as we were competing against some of the biggest and most established names in the business. But to then go on to win Australia’s Platinum Company Award was just the most incredibly proud moment” said Natalie.

The annual MEA Industry Awards are the premier accolade of best industry management practice and outstanding performance in the Australian Meetings & Events industry, recognising 37 company as well as individual awards on the evening.

Natalie said that the Awards were not only extremely important in recognising excellence in the events industry but also acknowledging the partnerships and joint effort that makes delivering successful events and conferences possible.

“Success within the events industry is, and always will be, based on the strength of the partnerships, collaboration and professional support network that you foster and maintain, and we have so to offer in the Northern Territory.

We couldn’t do what we do without having close working partnerships with our clients, such as NT Farmers, our world class venues such as the Darwin Convention Centre, and local industry suppliers such as Fusion Displays. Most of all, the secret to our success is the hardworking, dedicated and talented team of professionals at AA&P that have a genuine passion and commitment to the Territory and what we do, and always go above and beyond for our clients” said Natalie.

Natalie said that the AA&P team was particularly proud to see the Northern Australia Food Futures conference, and its flow on benefits, recognised at the highest level.

We have worked with the NT Farmers team since 2013, from conception and feasibility stages, right through to delivering the inaugural conference in 2014, again in 2016 and now planning for 2018. The conference is now widely recognised as the leading agricultural event for Northern Australia."

After coming home in 2015 with MEA’s National Public Event of Year Award for the 2015 Darwin Italian Festival, and following our success last night, the AA&P team and the Northern Territory are becoming a familiar name in the national events industry.
