Cvent and Zoom Video Communications, Inc. have announced that the two organisations would team up to power hybrid events.

Organisations that are already working with the Cvent platform for in-person events will soon be able to integrate with Zoom Events to deliver an engaging and impactful end-to-end hybrid experience. This combined solution can be seen first-hand at Zoomtopia, an event powered by both Zoom Events and Cvent technologies. Organisations may leverage the same capabilities used at Zoomtopia through Cvent’s App – soon available in the Zoom App Marketplace – that supports Zoom Meetings, Zoom Webinars, and Zoom Events.

“We recognise the value Cvent brings as a long-time leader powering in-person events around the world,” said Steven Li, ISV Sales and Strategy Leader at Zoom. “Zoom has always been a company built to connect and bring people together, which is why we are excited to team up with Cvent so that our customers can seamlessly tap into our best-in-class platforms to deliver more dynamic and impactful hybrid events.”

“In today’s event environment, an organisation’s Total Event Programme includes a blend of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events to maximise attendee engagement, reach and overall programme impact,” said Cvent CMO Patrick Smith (cover photo). “But without the right technology partners, organisations often struggle to effectively manage and execute their more complex hybrid experiences. As a leading communications platform, Zoom recognised this area of opportunity, and we’re excited to work with Zoom to help our mutual clients deliver world-class hybrid experiences.”

Cvent is supporting the in-person experience at Zoomtopia 2022, Zoom’s global hybrid conference.

Cvent announces AEO as long-term app partner

The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) is also announcing a three-year event app partnership renewal with Cvent, from November 2022 to December 2025.

Cvent will continue to be the exclusive app provider on key AEO events. Their Attendee Hub creates immersive, interactive experiences and networking, while driving attendee participation and delivering sponsor value with its awareness tools.

The agreement also includes sponsorship on the following events:

  • AEO People’s Awards
  • AEO Forums
  • AEO Excellence Awards
  • AEO Conference

Chris Skeith OBE, chief executive from AEO said: “Cvent's event tech has enhanced the event experience for our attendees on so many levels. Little things like featuring the table plan ahead of time to avoid bottle necks on the day, housing our Awards brochures here to promote more sustainable practices and sharing push notifications to keep attendees up to speed with the latest event details are just some of the reasons this partnership is so valuable. This partnership will also be an opportunity to channel one of the market leaders in event tech’s expertise and insights to our members through blogs, roundtables and other mediums.”

Jamie Vaughan, Cvent vice president of sales said; ‘‘For more than 100 years, AEO has passionately served the business events community and elevated the voice of event organisers across Europe, and it’s an honour to help them continue that mission through our best-in-class technology and support. In today’s digital-first event environment, there are more ways to connect and engage than ever before and we’re proud to deliver technology that facilitates more interactive and immersive event experiences for AEO and its members.’’
