The Hague is one of the top 50 international conference destinations in Europe. With this latest image, light, and sound innovation, we are taking a unique step in enhancing and giving a professional upgrade to what meeting organizers traditionally experience.” These are the words of Patrick Aarsman, the Crowne Plaza Den Haag – Promenade General Manager. During the past few months, the Promenade Hotel has undergone a large-scale programme of renovation, resulting in 99 new luxury bedrooms and modernization of the three largest meeting rooms. The Sony 4K laser projection will be available from mid-July in the large plenary room.

When it comes to hospitality, meetings, and events, it is the details that count. That is why we tasked AVEX in Breukelen to equip our meeting rooms with innovative multimedia solutions. The Sony 4K laser projects incredibly sharp images that can literally put businesses, products, or services in the spotlight,” adds Aarsman.

Gerben Huisman, the hospitality account manager at AVEX, and a specialist in Effective Business Communications, explains: “Using a Vision Presenter, multiple images can be projected on the wall at the same time. The images can be simply altered, enlarged, or reduced using a tablet. That gives presentations an interactive and creative character. The meeting room also has a state-of-the-art sound installation. Its high quality makes it possible to easily hear what people are saying.”

The three largest meeting rooms on the ground floor have been renovated. They consist of one plenary room and two adjacent secondary rooms, which can be used either separately or as a combination. Part of the renovation process involved the creation of a modern look and feel, a major aspect of which was sustainability. The carpet tiles in the meeting rooms, for example, have been produced from fishing nets.

The modernization of the Promenade Hotel is immediately obvious to anyone arriving. The original wing has been completely stripped and rebuilt in a new style. The bedrooms now have floor-to-ceiling windows, enabling guests to enjoy the magnificent views of the greenery of the Van Stolkpark and the World Forum to the full. The bathrooms have also been rebuilt and now have a modern design featuring luxury rain showers.

Area General Manager Alexander Kluit says, ”The overwhelming responses have made all the hard work our team has put in worthwhile, and we are incredibly proud. A completely new hotel product that allows us to give our guests every comfort and rest in a thoroughly professional manner. From 900m2 wellness in the Promenade Health Club & Spa to our renovated meeting and function rooms, bedrooms, and suites.”
