Travel safety specialist beTravelwise is set to showcase its latest products and services to travel managers at this week’s ITM 2017 conference in Birmingham.

The firm, which has carved a successful niche providing specialised travel safety guidance to a range of corporate clients, is a high-profile addition to this year’s ITM Innovations Lab. The ITM conference initiative, which returns for a second year due to popular demand, will see a handpicked group of technology specialists pitch their products and services to potential clients in a fast-paced, interactive environment.

beTravelwise director Saul Shanagher will lead the company’s presentation at the Innovations Lab. Saul will provide key insights into beTravelwise’s service offering, which includes bespoke animations covering a range of potential scenarios corporate travellers may face and offers practical advice for dealing with dangers safely and effectively.

beTravelwise’s corporate travel safety programmes cater to a range of demographics, such as women and LGBT travellers. LGBT travellers, in particular, face a myriad of legal and safety issues when visiting certain countries for work.

Laws and attitudes towards women travelling alone in certain countries around the world can also pose serious risks for the uninitiated.

Our range of innovative corporate travel safety programmes is designed to ensure our clients mitigate the potential risks they may face when travelling to certain destinations worldwide,” said Shanagher.

Even seasoned corporate travellers are often unaware of the potential dangers presented in seemingly benign environments.

beTravelwise’s specialised training programmes cover the full spectrum of travel risk management. Each interactive programme can be customised to meet a client’s specific requirements. Clients can also choose to combine individual programmes into a tailor- made package.

Saul established beTravelwise in 2015 alongside fellow former British Army officer and long-time corporate travel risk advisor Andy Prior. Their combined knowledge and experience has proven crucial to beTravelwise’s rapid growth and development.

Saul and Andy lead the beTravelwise Advisory Board, whose highly-experienced members include women traveller advisor Sophie Harwood and LGBT travel advisor Jeremy Wilkes.

The ITM Innovations Lab will take place from 12.00-12.50pm on Wednesday, 3 May, in the Library Suite of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the host venue for ITM 2017.
