From Australia, more unfortunate news arrives about the event tradeshows roadmap. The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME), the leading trade event for the meetings and event industry in the Asia Pacific region, will not happen in 2021 for the first time in almost three decades.

The organisation shared the heartbreaking news that AIME 2021, due to take place on 15-17 March, has been cancelled due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic.

Like many other event organisers, AIME is facing the challenges brought about by international and domestic travel restrictions despite healthy interest for the event from exhibitors and buyers. As the past year has shown, it’s difficult to predict if border closures will be required to slow the spread of future outbreaks.

"Not being able to run AIME 2021 is devastating for the entire AIME team. They put 110% into this show and I couldn’t be prouder. We are all heartbroken and are counting down the days until we meet again in 2022," said SIlke Calder, AIME Event Director. AIME 2022 is set to take place on 21-23 March for one of the biggest celebrations of the Business Events industry.

AIME is the platform and focus for international and local buyers to access the best exhibitors from around the globe, when industry decision makers connect and create to do business across the globe.
